Bored With the Same Yoga Routine? Give Slackline Yoga a Try!

Yoga devotees are just that: devoted! Yoga is a way of life for some people, and why not? It’s an amazing way to keep fit and toned, increase concentration and find a way to zen out in a stressful world.

If you love yoga but are tired of the same routine, why not mix it up a little with Slackline Yoga?!

Slackline Yoga uses the same poses and ideas of traditional yoga, but – yup, you guessed it – on a slackline! A slackline is similar to a tightrope, but it is wider and usually not held as tight, it is ‘slack’. Imagine doing all your yoga poses on something similar to a tight-rope. Talk about a fresh challenge!

Slackline Yoga was created by Yoga Slackers, who needed something new to stimulate their passion for yoga. Since it was developed, it has inspired followers all over the world.

People install slacklines in their homes now (apparently it’s not that hard, all you need is two walls that are close together, some slackline, and a drill...) so they can practice constantly.  You can also attach a slackline in the yard or park between two trees.  The beach is another great place to practice.

There are slacklines at some recreational gyms where you can practice, but to purchase an instructional DVD, get your own Slackline Kit or see a library of poses check out Slackasana and YogaSlackers.com.
