Been hanging for an inspiring surf flick highlighting fellow surfing sistas?

Well, Tiffany Campbell and Andria Lessler working with Roxy and Villa Villa Cola Productions have created Dear and Yonder, an awe-inspiring, visually delightful surf movie featuring a ‘dynamic cast of ladies, some of whom are bathed in the limelight while others may have only existed in quiet pockets until now’.

Their newest film offers us experiences through imagery, music and art showing the inner spirit and heart of all types of surfing from around the world.

“The stories are so unique, and it really touches women of all surf genres in so many different ways, from the incredibly progressive to the sailors, to body surfers. There has never been something like this that embodies the spirit of surfing of all types, not just shortboarding,” said Danielle Beck, Director of Sports Marketing Entertainment for Roxy.

The concept behind the flick features female's surfing home breaks (Dear) and far off spots around the globe (Yonder).  Roxy team riders Sally Fitzgibbons, Kassia Meador and Sofia Mulanovich highlight their skills as well as iconic surfers such as Lisa Anderson, Linda Benson and Rell Sunn.

“We really wanted to expand what women’s surfing movies were portraying, so we chose a smattering of women with a diversity of ages, styles, and backgrounds,” said filmmaker Tiffany Campbell. “And it also has a diversity of emotion throughout the piece. It’s humorous. It’s thoughtful. It’s provocative. It just goes through the whole gamut.”

It’s a visual paradise for any ocean lover, globetrotter and surfer a like.  ASP consecutive World Champion Stephanie Gilmore explores Indonesia while Prue Jefferies dives into Mexico.

The movie also delves into deeper roots offering a sense of history and knowledge encouraging us to use sustainable practices while appreciating the world around us.

Dear and Yonder is showing around the U.S. and Canada this summer in 20 cities and plans to head overseas to Europe, Japan and Australia later this year.
