Keilder Forest about 25 minutes drive (mountain biking, water sports)

Lake District an hour away (hiking, sailing, mountain biking, climbing etc. etc.)

Whitley Bay Beach 15 minutes drive (surfing)

Newcastle International airport 10 minutes

City centre 10 minutes by bus (from the doorstep!)

3 Golf Courses less than 10 minutes drive (walking distance if your keen!)

Scottish Resorts 3-4 hours drive (skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking)
