Brisbane is a cool city! I stayed near the South Bank area and enjoyed the markets on the weekend. Here is a website giving you some details on when markets and other events are on around the city. http://www.ourbrisbane.com/whatson/markets/ If you get a chance you can also take a train to the Gold Coast (less than an hour) from Brisbane and go for a swim at some of Australia's famous surf beaches. Enjoy! explorergirls |

The coffee shops in funky west end are fun, and you could drop into the Wilderness Society office and say hello and see what they are up to, they are a cool bunch of dudes. Yes and definatley catch the train down to the GC and swim. Try the southern beaches if you can get there as they aren't shaded by the ghastly Surfers Paradise Skyline......... Alternatively you could catch the train to the Sunshine Coast, which is also funky and nice beaches. |
