Anyone has any tips on what to see and do in Cape Verde?

I'm going there in february of 2009, and I need some tips so I won't have to sit in the hotel with my parents for two weeks! I'd also like to meet up if anyone else is there at the same time! Dates are not set yet, except for beginning of february.
