My trip to Machupicchu in Cuzco, Peru...one of the seven wonders!!!

Machupicchu is awe  inspiring and a must see if you are in Peru.

But beware, you better be in decent shape, the altitude at Machupicchu is about 7500 to 8000 ft., the terrain is steep and non forgiving .

But this is all worth it, because of the views and craftsmanship of their buildings and the way they had to live and work. Take hiking boots , water and a picnic lunch and you can have your lunch right in the middle of Machupicchu.

If you stay in Cusco before going to Machupicchu, Cusco is at an altitude of 12000 feet. Just walking around the town at a slow pace will take your breath away. The people are friendly and the prices are cheap for shopping and food.

If you plan on doing the Inka trail hike, work on your cardio much more than you already do, and your hiking skills because you will be on the trail for 3-4 days up and down the trails from 4500 to 8000 ft. on rocky terrain and trails.

Cusco is calling...
