Calling all Explorer Girls - If you can contribute anything to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal, please help...

Earlier this week I was up at Whittlesea to cover the Kinglake bushfires for The Times UK, and the next day I switched hats and joined a CFA crew putting out spot fires, blacking out and checking on properties and people - utterly horrible and harrowing. The survivors are enduring a physical and emotional hell, and need all the assistance they can get.

Alison was also part of the CFA (Country Fire Authority) who responded to the Victorian bush fires soon after they destroyed towns.
You are not only our "Awesome ExplorerGirl" this month, but a hero to so many Victorians.
We all thank you and applaud your dedication to your job and community. And, great article in this weeks Grazia magazine recounting your experience as a photographer and CFA after Black Saturday's havoc.
