Wednesday night eventually the wind came so we picked a sheltered spot in the Bongo and listened to the thunder and lightning right over us.

Thursday morning we sprung into action and hit the beach.  It was NUKING!!! So much fun!

I dusted off the 5m Neutron, pulled out some 20m lines and we were ready! 



First heat of the Singles I was up against Kristin Boese... ah!!  Always pull the tough heats with Bruna or Gisela!  

It was super tough conditions as was so wind with patches of rain so they had to stop a heat as the judges couldn't see the riders!  I love these conditions and went for as many safer tricks as I could do.  I was stoked to win the heat!!! WAHOOOO!!!







I was then up against Karolina who rode a really good heat so I was out of the Singles.  I spent most of the remainder of the afternoon in the wood fired hot tub outside the rider's tent warming up!

Friday morning was still windy but a bit more manageable!  I past my first heat as Laila had a head injury from the day before.  I was then up against Wilson.  She had just had an epic heat against Erika, and carried on pushing through winning our heat and up to fifth place.  So I finished seventh in the freestyle which is acceptable as I was stoked with my first heat result!



So freestyle all over, with Youri pulling though with an amazing semi final against Aaron to get second to Kevin.  Joanna Litwin beat Bruna for the final with some mentally consistant riding and Karolina finished third.

On to the boardercross now WAHOOOO!!!
