This weekend was spent snowboarding and soirée-ing at Big White in Kelowna, BC with the SFU Ski and Snowboard Club (through S-Trip).  I think “gong-show” would be an appropriate term to describe the weekend succinctly.

It was beautiful both days with a little bit of fog on the second.  And I must admit, I’m not very good at boarding, I had a few years where I didn’t really do any at all, but as one of my goals that came about on my Epic Kelowna Trip of Inspiration 6 months ago, I decided that this year I’d get to be fairly decent.  Plans were almost foiled by terrible local mountain conditions in Vancouver with Cypress closing early, Seymour being cement and Grouse just not having snow. Luckily I’ve been hitting up the Okanagan instead, and every minute’s been great.  This weekend was definitely the best boarding I have ever done in all my life.

Alas now I am officially severely stoked to go to Whistler in the coming weeks before the Olympics!
