When Christopher Columbus first went about discovering the world, I do wish in some ways he had stopped all his exploring and settled for the variety of countries that already existed.
I know new worlds are wonderful and all and it must have been quite the achievement, but really, he does not place me with quite the predicament! That being, too many countries to choose from to explore and visit myself!
Travel is really a case of being spoilt for choice. Not only are there multiple destinations, there are also so many different types of hols you can take and reasons to visit a place.
- History - Gallipoli in Turkey
- Relaxation - Chilling out in Bali
- Sports - World Cup, Olympics
- Action and adventure- Hiking in the Alps
- Activity - Snowboarding in NZ
- Famous- PARIS!
- Culture - Masai Tribe of Kenya
- Family - Relatives in the UK
And ridiculous amounts more.
For a person like me who loves to do it all, it's just too much of a choice!
This year, my plans so far include:
- conference in Singapore, and a quick visit to Indonesia to visit a friend
- Snowboarding in Queenstown, NZ in July
- Ayers Rock with the Relo's in August
- Snowboarding at Mt Buller in Victoria, Australia at the end of the season
- Taking a drive down the Great Ocean Road, Victoria and South Australia, Australia
- A trip to the Uk to visit family, stopping in Germany and Italy to see more friends
- India in December for a wedding
- Nepal in December to see my adopted niece and the country I love.
FINGERS CROSSED!
Now, just for those little things called Money and Time and I'm set!
I really do praise Sir Christopher Columbus for his grand efforts and really I do thank my lucky stars each day that I have the opportunities to travel.
Keep travelling!
