I'm super excited to be learning to Surf at this beautiful time of year in Sydney.
Most people think that because the air temperature is now getting cold that the water will also be cold. This is most certainly not the case. This morning was so silly, probably on 12 degrees celcius, however thewater would have been 19 or 20! So nice!
I first learnt to surf over a year and a half ago with my Snowboarding buddy, but due to travelling, winter and a broken back, it's only now I can get back into it! And I am so happy.
Two weeks ago I went to the Alley at North Cronulla, in Sydney's South Eastern Suburbs. Cronulla is famous for it's glorious beaches and killer waves! I was invited to go by my friend Sal with a bunch of girls every Monday. We were so lucky that day to have beautifully warm water, blue skies and pods of DOLPHINS swimming out the back behind us. Magical!
Today was another killer morning and I am really getting the hang of the waves now. Just loving the freedom and rush that surfing brings.
If any of you gals are living in Sydney and interested in coming Surfing early on Monday mornings with a cool bunch of chicks, send me a private message.
