Not every day has been perfect jumping weather. For the first half of the trip, we were certainly spoilt with pristine weather conditions but unfortunately for the last 4 or 5 days now, we’ve been dealing with blizzard conditions and to fight boredom we’ve been conjuring up things to do.

The Arctic List:
1. Build an Igloo
2. Shoot a 12 gage shotgun
3. Eat
4. Dig out an ice pool
5. Eat
6. Procrastinate about jumping into the pool
7. Re-build damaged Ice walls around camp
8. Try to fly a wingsuit by running headwind into 40 knot winds
9. Conjure up the possibility of tying up James behind Snowmobile and fly him in his wingsuit like a kite
10. Finally jump into the Ice Pool
11. Eat
12. Re count food stock to make sure to not run out before the end of the trip
13. Eat a little more
14. Become excited over the arrival of a new local guest with a dog sled
15. Download photos
16. Kick the generator out of frustration as it keeps breaking down
17. Set up a snow jump over the shitter
18. Take joyrides on the snowmobile
19. Listen to Ted Davenport explain his unusual and slightly disturbing dreams
20. Learn how to speak Norwegian
21. Retreat to the sleeping bag for warmth
22. Play a game of Pigs
23. Eat…it’s been a while hasn’t it?

Hopefully the wind settles down otherwise we may resort to desperate measures and conjure up some unusual activities. Each day we keep hoping to wake to no wind and perhaps tomorrow will be the day but until then… we’re getting a little edgy.
