Always have a plan B, C, and D. And if you get stuck somewhere when you are flying, being polite is your best way to go, you can get free food, hotels (they generally will give you a really good room) and transportation to the hotel and back to the airport if there is a delay. Tears and throwing a fit could NEVER get you that.
